Sunset Orchard grows 29 different varieties of apples many of which are antique varieties. Each year more trees are planted to increase quantity and variety. 

The Apple Harvest begins in September lasting well into November. 

Customers may pick their own apples or purchase in the farm store.

Each PYO variety has a designated ribbon color hanging from the tree so you can easily tell them apart. 


Each apple has its own harvest readiness. Visit our Facebook page to see what is available or call ahead! Climate conditions will cause each year to be different, some apples may be earlier than normal or later than normal. The increase in the unpredictable climate is causing a more unpredictable harvest.


Don't have time to PYO? Don't stress! These are also available for purchase by the pound in the farm store. Contact us for pricing. No minimum required.  



Pole Pickers are only available when Sunset Orchard determines it necessary! Pole Pickers used too early in the season create damage to the remaining low hanging apples thus creating waste (unusable apples). The apple up high is not bigger! Trust us, it is only an illusion. We pick apples for a living, we should know a thing or two.
